Excursion 4 - BUILDING AND DECORATIONAL STONES OF IMPORTANT BUILDINGS AND LANDMARKS IN THE NEW TOWN AND VYŠEHRAD AREA

(Geology)

Guide of excursion: RNDr. Dobroslav Matějka, CSc., Mgr. Ilona Horychová

This walk will lead from the city centre along the right bank of Vltava; we presume it will end at Vyšehrad. Apart from the landmarks and art works, we will also see the geopark in the Charles University Botanical Garden. In case of bad weather, the route will be shortened or diverted to the Faculty of Science building at Albertov where we will visit other geological expositions of the faculty – the Mineralogical Museum and Chlupáč‘s Museum of Earth‘s History.
